The Szent Efrem Men's Choir, which is celebrating its 20th birthday this year, will take part in the mass starting at 6:30 p.m. on February 19 in the St. Terez Nagy Parish Church of Avila in Terezváros, Budapest. There will be a double presentation, two new works by Miklós György Fehér, which the composer wrote especially for the ensemble, will be performed.

In the mass composed for the organ, Anasztázia Bednarik participates on the organ, and Miklós György Fehér's Requiem is also performed.

The Szent Efrém Men's Choir was founded in 2002, and in recent years has become one of the most popular vocal ensembles in Hungary. It sees its mission as the creation of dialogue between cultures, so they have a kind of peace-making role between the East and the West, but at the same time they place great emphasis on playing new compositions of contemporary European music and nurturing the Hungarian men's choral tradition (Liszt, Bartók, Kodály). In 2012, the ensemble received the Pro Cultura Minoritatum Hungariae award for nurturing the Ruthenian ethnic culture, and in 2014 it received the Hungarian Heritage Award. In the same year, the General Assembly of the Capital City of Budapest awarded the Budapest Brand Award to the Szent Efrém Men's Choir for its outstanding cultural and artistic activity.
