At the very beginning of the campaign, Ágnes Kunhalmi managed to commit an embarrassing mistake. Politicians running in individual constituencies rarely go over well if you mix up two districts, and the socialist politician did just that when he posted a picture taken in Pestszentimre with the text, "In Pestszentlőrinc, we also collect next to the post office today."
The mistake was noticed by Zoltán Lévai István Lévai, the Fidesz candidate for electoral district number 15 in Budapest.
"Dear Agnes! I hereby inform you that the morning photo you posted in your Instagram story 2 hours ago was not taken in Pestszentlőrince, but in Pestszentimre in front of the Pestszentimre post office," he wrote.
"Dear District Residents! The above example also shows that it does not matter who represents our district in the parliament after April 3," added the Fidesz politician.
