According to the schedule, the works are going full steam ahead, so the Buda Single Parent Family Support Center can open its doors in about a month at the Magyar Jakobinusok Square, next to the South Railway Station, Balázs Fürjes writes on his social media page .
The Fidesz-KDNP representative candidate for the 3rd electoral district of Budapest, together with the State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, Katalin Novák, proposed to the government to ensure the costs of setting up the center, which was successful. Fürjes emphasized that a real second home, a supportive community space with countless practical help, services, and a playhouse providing childcare is being created for single parents and their children.
Balázs Fürjes writes on Facebook that he and Anna Nagy, the president of the Single Parents Club, regularly visit the site and check how the works are progressing. He stated:
I mean: we are doing well! We have put up the walls, and we have reached the end of the basic electrical and mechanical installations. The tiling and the installation of the built-in furniture can start in a few days. At the beginning of March, the toys will also arrive in the playhouse: the hiding place, the play wall, various climbing elements, the slide and the sea of balls, which will bring smiles to the children's faces.
The Secretary of State also recorded that
A SPACIOUS, FRIENDLY AND HOMELY ASSISTANCE CENTER WILL BE CREATED, A SPACE OF NEARLY 200 SQUARE METERS WILL SERVE SINGLE PARENTS AND THEIR CHILDREN.
It is complemented by a cozy cafe and an event space, where programs for up to 50 people can be organized with a baby-mother room and a playhouse providing childcare.
So, while the parent attends a performance or relaxes in the cafe, his child can be safe
Fürjes writes. He highlighted:
Countless services: children's programs, job fairs, legal and psychological counseling, lectures and tutoring will also help single parents and their children. Most of them will be available for free or for a minimal fee!
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ONE-PARENT FAMILIES ARE SURROUNDED BY AN EXTENSIVE AND CARING SAFETY NET!
The Secretary of State also emphasized that
BEING ALONE IS NOT AN EASY SITUATION. IN HUNGARY TODAY, WE CAN TALK ABOUT ALMOST 300,000 ONE-PARENT FAMILIES, MORE THAN HALF A MILLION CHILDREN ARE GROWING UP THIS WAY. ONE-PARENT FAMILIES DEAL WITH MANY CHALLENGES: SINGLE PARENTS HAVE TO BEAR A MUCH GREATER FINANCIAL BURDEN AND HAVE TO CONSTANTLY JUGGLE THEIR TIME.
It is important that if someone is left alone with their child, the state helps!
On January 1, we settled the issue of alimony, the life of nearly 90,000 children growing up in single-parent families became easier and smoother. The Single Parent Center in Buda, which will open in March, will further expand the safety net around single-parent families, and with its countless services, it will provide enormous help to single parents and their children.
Balázs Fürjes stated.
