With this title, in a Facebook post, the leader of the Fidesz faction asked the politicians of the left to refrain from irresponsible statements.
Máté Kocsis wrote:
We all stand for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, but the safety of our compatriots is more important than anything else. Hungary has no interest whatsoever in intervening in the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict, so its left-wing politicians should not ask our country to send soldiers and weapons to Ukraine!
This is irresponsible, and such a dangerous step would drag Hungary and our soldiers into the war, so we will not allow this!
We ask all left-wing politicians to refrain from making irresponsible statements, formulating dangerous ideas, and especially from spreading fake news, tonight and in the following days. Prudence and calmness are needed now, because all Hungarians must stay safe! Left-wing politicians should only keep this in mind in their speeches!
