The basic question is whether the sanctions of the Western world will resolve the conflict? In my opinion, no.

On February 24, 2022, the Russian military launched a general attack on Ukraine. As a countermeasure, America and the European Union fully supported the territorial inviolability of Ukraine, and some member states even want to help the Ukrainians with weapons. In addition to all this, America and the Union have implemented and will implement severe economic sanctions against Russia and thus against themselves. The basic question is whether all these measures will resolve the conflict? In my opinion, no.

First, therefore, the reason for the Russian attack must be determined. According to security expert György Nógrádi, Russia attacked Ukraine because Ukraine's entry into NATO is on the agenda. This question needs to be carefully considered. NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) was founded on April 4, 1949 in Washington. It is a political and military alliance whose mission is the protection and dissemination of democratic values, the peaceful settlement of disputes, and the collective defense of member countries against external attack. Against this bloc, the Warsaw Pact (VSZ) was established on May 14, 1955. The reason for its establishment was the rearmament of East Germany and the establishment of the Western European Union. The Cold War began with the formation of the two blocs. The party that intended to disrupt this balance of power threatened world peace.

This first took place in the summer of 1962, when the Soviet Union (USSR) wanted to deploy short- and medium-range ballistic missiles equipped with nuclear warheads in Cuba 200 kilometers from the coast of Florida. The preparations were revealed by an American U-2 plane in August. And in September, the missiles with a range of 4,000 kilometers arrived by ship. The Americans again photographed the advanced works from an airplane in October. On October 22, US President JF Kennedy declares the following: he interprets any attack launched from Cuba as if it were from the Soviet Union, and he will establish a naval blockade around Cuba so that Soviet ships cannot deliver war materials to Cuba. On October 25, President Kennedy presented the aerial photographs to the United Nations. On October 27, a U-2 plane was shot down in Cuba, and on October 28, Soviet President Khrushchev announced the disarmament and removal of the missiles. This ended the Cuban Missile Crisis and the threat of a nuclear war.

On February 25, 1991, the Budapest session of the Hungarian National Congress canceled the Warsaw Pact with effect from April 1. And SZU ceased to exist on December 1, 1991. The balance of power has therefore been completely upset, and the reason for NATO's existence has become obsolete! However, instead of liquidating it, NATO was expanded. After Hungary and Poland, which joined in 1999, the former socialist countries joined in turn after 2004.

Russia was still forced to tolerate these expansions, as after the collapse of SZU, Russia fell prey to oligarchs and mobsters. With persistent work, President Putin led the country out of anarchy, and at that time he was constantly faced with the fact that NATO wants to admit closer and closer countries into the organization, and tightens the loop further with military bases installed in Romania and Poland. Now the entry of Georgia and Ukraine is on the agenda.

The latter threatens the very existence of Russia, which President Putin could no longer tolerate. If the USA could not tolerate the deployment of nuclear missiles in Cuba, how could Russia tolerate the deployment of NATO nuclear submarines in Crimea and the deployment of missile launchers 600 kilometers from Moscow.

Based on all of this, I am convinced that the Ukrainian crisis can be resolved in only one way: Ukraine - like Austria - must accept eternal neutrality! Unfortunately, this harms America's interest, since the USA is interested in preventing close cooperation between Russia and the Union at all costs, because the "empire" stretching from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean would already threaten America's world domination.

Unfortunately, this is how Ukraine becomes the collision zone of the great powers.
