The government provides three billion HUF resources to the members of the Charity Council to mitigate and manage the effects of the humanitarian disaster that directly affects Hungary.

He said that according to the cabinet's decision, the Catholic Charity, the Hungarian Reformed Charity, the Hungarian Maltese Charity, the Ecumenical Aid Organization, the Baptist Charity and the Hungarian Red Cross will receive 500 million forints each.
Alexandra Szentkirályi explained that government agencies, the police, disaster management, local governments, aid organizations and civilians have shown "very serious and uplifting" strength in the past period, which will be needed in the coming days and weeks.
They can count on the government in this work, the cabinet will continue to provide everyone with all the help they can to help people in trouble as much as possible, said the government spokesperson.
He reminded that several types of help have recently arrived from the government side, the biggest aid shipment to Transcarpathia, worth around 600 million forints, has started, and help for charity work will also come through the Hungary Helps program.
The government spokesman repeated that Hungary must not get involved in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict in any way, but the country will provide all assistance to the people who flee the war here.
The government coordinates and organizes the assistance process, provides resources for the care of refugees, who in Hungary "wait for safety, love, attention and help", confirmed Alexandra Szentkirályi.
Miklós Soltész, the Prime Minister's Secretary of State responsible for church and ethnic relations, said that HUF 480 million in donations had been received as of Saturday morning through the aid line 1357 and the account number opened for this purpose. From this amount, the charitable organizations operating at the six help points will receive HUF 25 million each as immediate support.
The aid points of the Reformed charity service in Záhony, the Hungarian Red Cross in Lónya, the Catholic Charity in Barabás, the Maltese Charity Service in Beregsurány, the Ecumenical Aid Organization on the Ukrainian side of the border, and the Baptist Charity Service in Tiszabec will receive the money, the state secretary said.
Miklós Soltész noted that through the Hungary Helps program, new aid worth HUF 1.3 billion is coming to Ukraine, which will also help people in trouble fleeing the war.
According to his information, a warehouse has been set up in Aranyosapáti, close to Vásárosnamény, to receive larger quantities of aid shipments, from where the donations and offerings will be distributed to the aid points. A similar warehouse will soon be set up in Biatorbágy, where the donations, mainly from Budapest, will be collected, the state secretary added.
