It is a great pleasure to see that people have activated themselves - said Prof. Dr. Miklós Kásler in the latest episode of Életközelben regarding the snaking lines at the vaccination points.

During the interview, the Minister of Human Resources talked about the vaccination campaign week, the latest procedure for treating the coronavirus, but the misconceptions about vaccination were discussed and he repeatedly drew attention to the importance of the third vaccination
.

I cannot emphasize enough that vaccination is the best option against the epidemic

said the minister, who is puzzled by the fact that there are still anti-vaccination people.
He pointed out: we have lost an extremely large number of people in the mass disease, but at the same time it is quite clear that deaths are very rare in the case of vaccinated people.

"I would like to draw everyone's attention to the fact that they should try to think through these facts with common sense, without emotions, and accordingly go back to vaccinations"

he emphasized.

During the interview, the minister reported on the latest version of the medical manual on the prevention and treatment of the coronavirus.
He highlighted: the procedure set up in March 2020 was supplemented with the information and experience collected since then. In addition to clinical doctors, family doctors were also considered, and the updated procedure was prepared for them as well. These recommendations help to start the treatment as soon as possible, because it is all the more possible to avoid the development of the disease from severe to moderate, possibly being on a ventilator or a fatal outcome, explained the minister.

Prof. Dr. Miklós Kásler pointed out the misconceptions about the virus: they are at least as dangerous as the virus itself.
He responded to the misconception that after getting sick, there are enough antibodies in a person's body so that they don't need to take the vaccine, saying that the production of antibodies is only one component of immunity. The other is cellular immunity. It is not indicated by the detection of antibodies, although the two must be evaluated together, he said.

Another misconception was also discussed, according to which alcohol consumed regularly and in adequate amounts
protects against the virus.
The misunderstanding is based on the fact that the disinfectants in alcohol kill the virus. But this is not true for the coronavirus. Pálinka has a completely different role in a person's life - he commented, then again pointed out the real facts. People need to understand that the vaccines developed for the original virus lose their effectiveness over time.

He reminded: the immunity of people vaccinated once against the Indian mutant increases to 7 percent in 3-4 months
, in the case of those vaccinated twice, approx. It drops from 90 to 60 percent. This can only be raised to 90 percent again with the third vaccination - stated the head of the ministry and encouraged everyone to get vaccinated.
