Is there anything else we can do in this situation, when war is raging in our neighborhood, than advocating for peace? Hungary is on the right track, because our leaders are also doing everything for the sake of peace, can the delivery of weapons and the non-sending of military forces to Ukraine and the announcement of "strategic calm" be different?
Of course, this Prime Minister's statement was criticized by many people from many sides, first of all our opposition, but also the Ukrainian ambassador. Don't talk unnecessarily, if you say it, consider it carefully, because everything can be a spark that escalates the situation further - that's all it means. Worrying news is also coming in that our best friend Poland could push us into war by sending fighter jets to Ukraine. Fortunately, America stepped back from this, it does not want to drift into war, it does not send Polish fighter jets to Ukraine. Another news coming from left-wing channels is that the EU government also voted to send weapons. Fortunately, there is a loophole, the amount to be given for this purpose can be requested for equipment, not just weapons. Hungary obviously chooses this in order to continue to maintain the peace and not intervene militarily in the war. This news was neither confirmed nor denied by the right wing, so it must be taken with reservations.
We must serve peace by all means. After Péter Márki-Zay noticed that he was on the bottom end of the popularity list, he changed his communication for the century again. In his latest video, he already says what Fidesz calls for peace, and would not send soldiers or weapons to Ukraine, as he had said before. Apparently, the speech was written for him, which he read out on an answering machine. For him, of course, this is not a conviction, but an opinion that changes in a whimsical way, after the many irresponsible statements, which his own allies have already warned him about. Klára Dobrev and Ágnes Vadai have said very firmly in the past that she is unfit for the prime ministership and speaks irresponsibly, so now, as a result of the overwhelming public opinion research results, she is also preaching peace.
However, the world is not resting, it is introducing more and more sanctions against the aggressor, which unfortunately we, the whole of Europe, are drinking the consequences of. The only thing that is incomprehensible is that when America initiated its countless wars, the world did not budge, nor did they think of sanctioning it. Now, in the spirit of the American "cancel culture", he wants to erase everything that is Russian. Putin has become persona non grata in the world, but Russian music, literature, sports, and even Russian vodka have also fallen victim. And who knows what else the world will think of, what it will discover to be Russian, therefore to be erased, in the spirit of collective guilt to be condemned. And everything Western is leaving Russia. After IKEA, Mc Donald's, Coca Cola and who knows what else. However, this will only make the big bear wilder and have unforeseeable consequences, it could even mean the end of our world, if the worst threat is the use of the atom. At the same time, we are dealing with the question of whether the situation will escalate, will it spread elsewhere in Europe?
We could not have imagined this after the two world wars, we thought there would never be another war. It is unimaginable that we are still here in the 21st century, that tanks and crawlers are plowing the land in our neighborhood. We cannot absolve the aggressor of his actions, but we all know today that the nationalist Ukrainian policy, which is endlessly corrupt and suppresses minorities, has contributed greatly to the current events. If we went to Ukraine, the Ukrainian border guards had to shout at the border to let us through. And this does not make corruption bigger, because it appears on a daily basis, it is unimaginable here, and here is corruption according to the EU. When we visited our Hungarians, they told us that they could not use their mother tongue, that the restrictive language law was introduced at school, that their physical integrity was often in danger, and that they were subjected to atrocities because of their Hungarianness. This situation was exacerbated by Márki-Zay's irresponsible statement when he said that the Transcarpathian Hungarians were on the side of the Russians and that Viktor Orbán had started the war. Posters calling for the killing of Hungarians appeared immediately. Another sad news is that, according to a decree, Hungarians with dual citizenship cannot hold any office in Ukraine. Let us note in parentheses that the government is now spending huge sums of money to help Ukraine and is helping refugees in an exemplary manner. All Hungarians are selflessly helping and lovingly welcoming Ukrainian refugees at the border. All church, civil and charitable associations are helping, but the Soros NGOs are missing, who so eagerly supported the migrants who yearn for economic prosperity. This shows that they are only interested in unrest.
We couldn't even imagine that such nationalism exists in the 21st century, as Ukraine has shown in recent years! And they did the same to the Russians as to the Hungarians, mainly because of them the language law was introduced, so that they could not use their Russian mother tongue. The Ukrainians carried out a real genocide in the Russian-inhabited Donetsk and this has been going on for 8 years. The miracle is that Putin has tolerated it so far, of course he should not have chosen such a solution. The majority Russian population in Crimea voted to join Russia. Why did Putin become a pariah, when America did not after the wars of unjust occupation. Csaba Böjte is right that it would be easy to take the wind out of the Russians' sails, all you have to do is withdraw the language law and recognize the specific autonomy of the territories declared independent.
And of course, NATO should not expand any further, Ukraine should remain neutral, that would solve the situation. And in Crimea, a referendum decided, so what is the problem? The experts are right, this is a war between America and Russia, and we are drinking the juice. America is behind Ukraine. If NATO intervenes, it will mean a world war. That is why it would be dangerous if Ukraine joined this military organization.
Peace, peace, peace! We hope that the negotiations will bring peace, and in the meantime let us pray for it. Every evening from 8 p.m., the different religious denominations have agreed on this. Everyone who can should get involved! Anyway, according to Christian mystics, Hungary should be a country of atonement. The construction of the atonement chapel in Szent Anna-rét, due since the Second World War, serves this purpose. Finally, this week, Cardinal Péter Erdő gave permission for construction, and it will be built in the fall. Even then, in the shadow of the war, the laying of the foundations began, but it stalled. Christians now have great hopes for this, because the Mother of God herself, the Virgin Mary, would protect us from war.
In the meantime, let's pray for peace every night from 8 p.m.!
