A charity concert entitled "Békeima" will be held to help refugees in Budapest's St. Stephen's Basilica on Thursday, March 24, from 8:30 p.m., Katolikus Karitász informed MTI.
Among the musical pieces played at the concert, Catholic and Reformed pastors pray for peace, among others Gábor Mohos, assistant bishop of Esztergom-Budapest, parish priest of the basilica.
The concert will feature the Franz Liszt Prize-winning cellist Judit Faludi, vocalist Krisztián Szenthelyi, organist Dénes Harmath, Donatella Hunyadi, vocal student of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Xavér Filep, organist and cantor of the St. Lipót Parish Church in Budafok, Mihály Melis, Árpád of Rózsák terei cantor of the home parish church of St. Elizabeth, as well as the Albinoni Chamber Orchestra.
Participation in the concert is free, and the audience supports the Subcarpathian Families Association and the Szent Erzsébet Caritász Központ with pocket donations.
