A high Saturday night fever may have broken out last night at Péter Márki-Zay. Probably as a result of this, he posted on Facebook that Orbán was supplying weapons to Ukraine, mandiner.hu reported.
"Orbán delivers weapons to Ukraine, we provide ambulances," the left-wing prime ministerial candidate wrote on his Facebook page. What exactly Péter Márki-Zay is basing his claim about Viktor Orbán on is difficult to guess, since on Tuesday even the left-wing Telex reported that the information according to which the government would supply Ukraine with weapons is wrong.
On the other hand, Péter Márki-Zay has already stated on several occasions that he would support Ukraine with weapons and even soldiers in the armed conflict if certain conditions were met. In a previous article, Mandiner also published a selection of when and how the left-wing prime minister candidate made a statement regarding arms shipments to our eastern neighbor. He covered the same topic in a recent broadcast of Mandiner Reaction (video at the end of the article).
As a guest of the program Partizán, for example, when asked by Márton Gulyás whether he would provide military aid, Péter Márki-Zay answered: "Well, if NATO decides, then even military aid".
But he was also asked about arms deliveries in the ATV studio, to which he responded: "If NATO decides to support Ukraine even with weapons, then of course we will support that as well."
