In Bács-Kiskun county, the police arrested a total of 126 border violators in 13 cases, and in Csongrád-Csanád county, the patrols arrested a total of 185 border violators in 27 cases. In Győr-Moson-Sopron county, 7 border violators were arrested in 1 case, and 14 border violators were arrested in 1 case in Komárom-Esztergom county in the administrative area of Tata. In Pest county, 25 border violators were arrested in 2 cases in the administrative areas of Alsónémedi and Inárcs.
During the checks, the detained illegal migrants claimed to be citizens of Afghanistan, Egypt, India, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Morocco, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, Somalia, Turkey and Tunisia, but they could not credibly prove their identity or the legality of their stay in Hungary. . The police escorted them back to the temporary border security checkpoint in accordance with the current Hungarian legislation.
In Hungary, 8 people were arrested for illegal border crossing in the last 24 hours, in Gyula, Békés county, while criminal proceedings were initiated against 5 people for human smuggling.
