The position of the national side is clear: we remain on the side of peace, Hungary cannot drift into war, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in Hír TV Napi's current extra on Monday.

Regarding the war in Ukraine, the Prime Minister explained: " In Hungary, the national side says that it is a Russian-Ukrainian war, and we are the Hungarians, we help those in trouble, but at the same time we do not take a single step that could get Hungary into trouble." "We cannot help anyone while destroying ourselves, " he added.

He believed that if we "get involved in a war that is not our war" we have nothing to gain but everything to lose. The position of the national side is clear: " we remain on the side of peace, we do not deliver weapons, we do not send soldiers, and we do not allow weapons to pass through the territory of Hungary to Ukraine, " he declared.

He said:

the position of the left is also clear, they do not see a conflict that is a war between two other peoples, but one " in which they also have a direct connection, and in their opinion it would be right if Hungary were involved in this conflict ".

And NATO says that all member states are independent, national governments decide what they do; the question is "is there something we will do together", and the answer to this is that there will be no such action, NATO will not send soldiers or weapons, he pointed out.

According to Viktor Orbán, the fact that this is the position in NATO does not mean that there are no disputes, and there are those in NATO who "continually oppose the Hungarian position and want to push NATO into this conflict ". And the Hungarian left wants to comply with those countries that would rather push NATO into the conflict, he said.

He emphasized: the situation is difficult and risky, and the stakes of this election are war, because if the left wins the election, the number of NATO countries that would "push NATO and Hungary into this conflict" would increase. So " if we want peace, only the national side can represent it in Hungary and in NATO, " he emphasized.

The Prime Minister stated: Hungary also has a responsibility, those in trouble must always be helped, and "we help beyond our means", looking at European aid "in proportion to the population, we take in the most refugees, we take care of the most people". So " we are not rubbish, but a great nation that behaves morally correctly, " he said.

He said:

but "we can't help the Ukrainians by blowing up Hungary", it won't help if we shut off the Russian gas and oil tap and the Hungarian economy stops.

He sees that the Hungarian interest is in favor of peace, and this is the interest of the Ukrainians and the Russians as well. In addition, the security of the country must be preserved, not only in the military sense, but also in the economic sense, he explained. He added: if no energy comes, the Hungarian economy will stop, which is why he is fighting against the European position that wants to extend the sanctions to gas and oil.

The head of government announced that the plan is to transform the structure of Hungarian energy production in the next decade in such a way that most of it will come from nuclear sources, and the other part from solar energy, and the two together account for more than 90 percent of energy needs.

" Of course, there will always be some energy sources coming from Russia", but the goal is not that nothing comes, but that "we do not depend on it, there is always something else, and we are not vulnerable", he pointed out .

He touched on it: Russia and Ukraine are two countries that play a prominent role in supplying the world with grain, and now there is a serious chance that the production volume of both countries will drop. " And then there is hunger, because if there is no grain, then there is hunger, " he said.

He believed that "we are threatened by the fact that after the price of grain will increase", the situation may arise that " foreigners will siphon off our grain supplies from Hungary at high prices, and then it will not stay here, and then we will have to import it at an even higher price ".

It may happen that the war, if it drags on, will have such a consequence on the European economy that certain food industry products will not be available in sufficient quantities, he added.

Viktor Orbán emphasized: " there are big cases here, there are big connections, there are serious stakes, you shouldn't rush, you shouldn't talk back and forth, you have to be firm and quick, but deliberate. "

The stakes are high now, and this is when you need composure, calmness, experience and the ability to rise above the daily political debates

he thought.

He also talked about how "this election is not a run game", it is an open fight. He advised everyone to definitely go and vote and make sure that not only he, but also those who think similarly. " If we all go, we will have results, but only then, " he declared.

He said about the referendum: the Hungarian people know exactly that there is "a gender frenzy" in the West, which starts, moves and wants to rearrange the most basic sure points of life. They know that "this trouble is knocking on the door", and that is why, according to all analyses, the turnout in the referendum will be high, he said.

He sees that the support for the traditional family concept and way of life is at a very high level, and here the left-right dividing line almost does not work at all, because it is a matter of whether we "want to continue to organize our lives normally, or do we go into such an adventure that through our children, turn around what we have felt to be a sure point ".

The people have a definite opinion, the only question here is whether they will come and tell the four genders their opinion, said the prime minister.
