Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary, gave an interview to Kossuth Radio on Friday morning. "We have to accept the Ukrainian president's statements with understanding, because his country is in trouble," said Viktor Orbán, when asked what he thought about Volodymyr Zelensky's criticism of Hungary's neutrality.

He explained that the Ukrainian president hopes to get out of this predicament by getting others into the war.

My dispute is with the Hungarian left, which wants to take the Ukrainian president at his word," he added. "We cannot help Ukraine by destroying ourselves. This is not our war," explained the Prime Minister.

The prime minister also spoke about the disconnection of Russian gas, which the German-Austrian-Hungarian triumvirate clearly formulated and rejected at the last EU summit. So far, no one knows how American liquefied gas would reach Hungary.

The problem is with the left, because it made an agreement behind the scenes with the Ukrainians: arms shipments would start and energy sources would be cut off. The left is playing with fire, said the prime minister. The energy crisis will lead to an economic crisis

Viktor Orbán also spoke about the fact that we are facing a significant and deep European economic crisis. The roots of the trouble are deeper than the cause of the war, he added. One of them is uncompetitiveness and the energy transition, said the Prime Minister. The sanction came for all this, which we never supported, but we voted for the sake of unity.

The next government will have to figure this out somehow, he added. We are trapped, and European leaders are also increasingly nervous.

Viktor Orbán also spoke about the fact that it would be very difficult for Germany, Austria, and Bulgaria to separate themselves from Russian energy carriers. It's not about putting on a sweater and turning down the heating, if no energy source comes from Russia, then the Hungarian economy won't work.

Regarding the elections, Orbán explained that

the opposition, especially Bajnai, committed massive election fraud with illegal data collection. According to the Prime Minister, fraud usually occurs during an election, but when the data of 100,000 people is obtained illegally, it is not only election fraud, but also a serious violation of the law. The whole process must be investigated, he added.

Orbán understands that the left is hoping for help from abroad, and now the stakes are extremely high, but a completely unusual phenomenon, which the candidate for prime minister of the left said,

that they represent fascists and communists together.

If they don't win now, there will be exciting questions for the future of the left. Everything was thrown into the gutter for the sake of power.

The Prime Minister said that he does not trust in external forces, so money is only when we work. In the recent period, 1 million new jobs were created, so there is money. According to Viktor Orbán, crisis can be managed through work.

We must strive to preserve jobs.

The consequences of the energy price hike and the war must be avoided, and then our plans can be implemented, said the prime minister. There are still a few holes in the current system that need to be patched. Viktor Orbán also spoke about the question of the world's grain supply. And all of this can cause a food crisis, it can also happen that there can be a shortage of basic food, he added. Hungary has seen economic crises in the last 30 years, the left always applies austerity, said the prime minister. The national side uses economic growth and tax reduction, he added.

Viktor Orbán talked about the fact that the war overshadowed the election campaign and the referendum was pushed into the background. We also have to decide about our child's future.

In Western Europe, too, gender issues were waved at first, and now lobby organizations have been organized, and it is not the parents who decide on sexual education, he added. The national side wants peace, the left represents a risk to peace, he added.

People feel that on Sunday we will have 13 hours to decide the fate of Hungary. If we make the right decision, we will save the next 4 years, if not, we will get the next 4 years into trouble, he added.
