Matteo Salvini, the president of the Italian right-wing government party League, congratulated Viktor Orbán and the Hungarian people on the results of the parliamentary election, who was the first to post a message on his social media late Sunday night.

Matteo Salvini's post began: "Bravo, Viktor!"

The leader of the League wrote, "Alone against everyone, while left-wing fanatics of like-mindedness attacked, threatened those who wanted to erase Europe's Judeo-Christian roots, looked down upon by those who want to abolish the family, security, merit, development, solidarity, sovereignty and the values ​​of freedom, you won again thanks to what the others lack: the love and support of the people".

Matteo Salvini ended his message by saying, "Go on, Viktor, respect the free Hungarian people!"

He also attached an earlier picture showing a handshake between Matteo Salvini and Viktor Orbán.

The League party announced that Matteo Salvini sent a special message to Viktor Orbán, in which he also congratulated him on his victory.
