Péter Szijjártó explained that the Serbian election is also important for the Hungarians for two reasons: on the one hand, because of the future of the Vojvodina Hungarians, and on the other hand, because "we worked very hard" to turn the historical feud into a historical friendship between the two nations.
"Based on yesterday's results, we are happy to note that there will be a continuation. Not only did we win a historic victory yesterday, but also President Aleksandar Vucic, supported by the VMSZ, who is a great friend of Hungarians," said the head of the ministry. He added: the two "historic victories" are good news for all Hungarians and all Serbs on both sides of the border. "Perhaps I don't need to say that the phone conversation I just had with my friend and foreign minister colleague Nikola Selakovic was in a good mood," wrote Péter Szijjártó.
