At the same time as the parliamentary elections, a referendum took place in Hungary on Sunday: the results of the four-question child protection referendum initiated by the government have arrived. With 98.94 percent of the ballots processed, it can be said that although the referendum did not reach the threshold of validity, so many people have never voted in one direction at the same time.
The National Electoral Office published the results related to the answers to individual questions on its website:
1. Do you support the holding of classes on sexual orientation for minor children in public educational institutions without the consent of the parents?
Distribution of votes:
- Valid votes: 3,521,425 (44.46 percent)
- Voted invalid: 1,590,772 (20.08 percent)
- Did not vote: 2,753,911 (35.46 percent)
Number and ratio of yes-no votes
- Yes: 269,689 (7.66 percent)
- Gender: 3,251,736 (92.34 percent)
2. Do you support promoting gender reassignment treatments for minors?
Distribution of votes
- Valid votes: 3,492,688 (44.09 percent)
- Voted invalid: 1,619,509 (20.45 percent)
- Did not vote: 2,809,048 (35.46 percent)
Number and ratio of yes-no votes
- Yes: 143,448 (4.11 percent)
- Gender: 3,349,240 (95.89 percent)
3. Do you support showing minor children sexual media content that affects their development without restrictions?
Distribution of votes
- Valid votes: 3,484,686 (43.99 percent)
- Voted invalid: 1,627,511 (20.55 percent)
- Did not vote: 2,809,048 (35.46 percent)

4. Do you support showing media content showing gender reassignment to minors?
Distribution of votes (with 97.28 percent processed):

- Voted invalid: 1,629,692 (20.57 percent)
- Did not vote: 2,809,048 (35.47 percent)
