As expected, after the historic defeat of the left, no one takes responsibility and resigns, everyone points the finger at the other. One of the most characteristic elements of the left-wing civil war is the conflict between Péter Jakab and Péter Márki-Zay, both of whom blame the other for the downfall. Origo asked both Jobbik and Péter Márki-Zay, but neither party responded until the publication of the article below.

Late on Monday afternoon, Péter Márki-Zay was the guest of the internet broadcast of radical left-wing activist Márton Gyulás.

SPEAKING ABOUT THE REASONS FOR THE DEFEAT, MÁRKI-ZAY SAID THAT COMPARED TO 2018, THE RIGHT LOST TWO-THIRDS OF ITS VOTERS, AND THIS IS MAINLY WHY THE LEFT FAILED.

He then claimed that

THE LEFT-WING VOTERS IN THE TRADITIONAL SENSE WENT TO VOTE, BUT ONLY A THIRD OF THE RIGHT-WING VOTERS, THE REST COULDN'T BE CONCERNED.

Blaming Jobbik was a recurring element in the communications of the failed candidate, as Márki-Zay stated once again in the rest of the program that

THE BEST IS WRONG, THAT THE PARTY LOST ITS VOTERS WAS ALREADY SEEN IN THE LEFT PRIMARY ELECTIONS, HE SAID THAT HE EXPECTED "MAY, MANY MORE VOTES FOR JAKAB PÉTER".

According to Márki-Zay, most of Jakab's audience are DK voters, who did not support the Jobbik president in the primaries, but Gyurcsány. Unfortunately, Jobbik has lost a significant part of its old voter base - the failed Prime Minister candidate concluded his monologue.

As Origo reported , Péter Jakab was the guest of ATV's Straight Talk show on Monday night. The Jobbik chairman claimed that

WHEN HE WENT THROUGH THE COUNTRY DURING THE CAMPAIGN, HE HAD NOT TO EXPLAIN FIDEZ'S ACTIONS, BUT MÁRKI-ZAY'S WORDS AND SENTENCES.

In Jakab's opinion, Márki-Zay turned an opposition advantage into a brutal disadvantage in half a year. I just washed enough of the prime minister-designate's laundry, that was enough for me now, he declared.

We brought voters from the camp of the undecided. A year ago, we were able to channel 250,000 new votes from Jobbik, but Péter Márki-Zay lost them. He kicked the voters of Jobbik and the voters of DK after the primary election - said Jakab, who says that the electorate does not work in such a way that he orders them to vote for the union. He believed that Péter Márki-Zay should have kept the voting bases of the six parties together.
