You can argue with the perception of Fidesz-KDNP, but not with the Hungarian people.

Hungary is pro-peace, and the government will resist any pressure to supply weapons to Ukraine - the Secretary of State responsible for international communication and relations of the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office stated on Kossuth radio Good morning, Hungary! in his show.

Zoltán Kovács said: the mandate that the Hungarian voters gave to the government and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in the spirit of the "desire for peace" and the pursuit of peace, further strengthens the government's approach, which has been held since the outbreak of the war.

The Secretary of State recalled that before the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán also visited Moscow for the sake of a peaceful settlement, and Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Péter Szijjártó also did a lot to ensure that Hungary encouraged the parties to a cease-fire to the best of its ability.

In connection with the fact that Ukraine's ambassador to Budapest was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zoltán Kovács emphasized that there are limits to the expression of diplomatic and foreign policy opinions, and moreover, this was now accompanied by interference in Hungarian elections. This step was a reflection on that, he said.

Zoltán Kovács emphasized: Hungary is the strongest supporter of Ukraine's sovereignty. It is in Hungary's national security, national strategic and national interest to have "a sovereign state east of us".

The state secretary called Hungary's cooperation exemplary, including the cooperation of state and non-governmental organizations, as they helped the refugees from Ukraine. "These are all proofs that Hungary is committed to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and helps anyone who flees from there," he declared.

Zoltán Kovács also touched on the fact that "there are realities" that can be questioned, but that determine Hungary's behavior. An example of this is the energy dependence inherited by the government, he said, noting that this government did the most to ease energy dependence and build alternative routes.

The state secretary was also asked on the M1 current affairs channel about, among other things, the international criticism of the Hungarian election results. Zoltán Kovács emphasized: you can argue with the perception of Fidesz-KDNP, but not with the Hungarian people.

On Sunday, Hungarian voters expressed such a clear opinion that it cannot be argued with, he stated.

In connection with the EU procedure initiated against Hungary, he said: "the European institutional system acting on the basis of left-wing political motivation should also wake up", that the position they have advocated so far is untenable and baseless.

According to the state secretary, the election results also indicate that Hungary is a successful country, and the results achieved together cannot be disputed. On the other hand, there was a "valueless, visionless" grouping that called itself a left-wing coalition, whose only goal was to gain power, but "they had no idea what they wanted to do with it."

Zoltán Kovács drew attention to the result of the child protection referendum, pointing out that so many votes had never been cast "in one direction".
