The Economic Competition Authority (GVH) ordered the implementation of the 11 billion fine of the Nitrogen Works group after the Court rejected the company group's postponement request, according to the GVH announcement. The owner of the company is László Bige, who previously openly criticized the government and offered financial support to the opposition. - can be read in Magyar Hírlap.

Last year, the company group was condemned by the competition office for cartelization, as László Bige used his market monopoly position to cause HUF 36 billion in damage to farmers.

The billionaire, who became known as the Red Baron, has not paid for almost half a year citing the increased costs of the company group - as if this would give him an exemption from the fine, especially when he pocketed much more extra profit by indemnifying the farmers.

The Nitrogénművek group must therefore immediately pay the full amount of the fine, as well as the late fee accumulated since the original payment deadline, which now amounts to approximately 300 million, the Index reports.
