The New York Times, the international flagship of the left-liberal media, just published an opinion piece on Easter, in which they write that it is time to give up on God. The publicity published with outrageous timing does not call on the readers to do this based on the simple atheistic narrative, but goes even further and makes God responsible for wars and suffering. Yes, we have reached the point where the liberal mainstream is no longer content to deny the existence of a creator, but specifically calls God evil.

Entitled "In a Time of War, I Suggest We Deny God," the article claims that God is responsible for "war and violence," "oppression and suffering," and recommends that people stop teaching children about him. Breitbart quotes author Shalom Auslander, disillusioned with his upbringing in New York's religious Jewish community, as saying :

God, it seems, paints with a broad brush. He paints with a roller. According to our rabbi, in Egypt he even killed the first-born cattle. He killed the cows. If he were mortal, the God of the Jews, Christians and Muslims would be dragged to The Hague. And yet we glorify him. Let us imitate him. We beg our children to be like him. Perhaps now that missiles are raining down and dead are being found in mass graves, it is time to stop imitating this hateful God. Maybe we can stop glorifying its brutality. Perhaps now is the time to teach our children to bypass God—to be as little like Him as possible. (…) Killing the gods is an idea that I can stand behind.

If this kind of writing can appear in America, and then there is no huge outrage, then we should not be surprised that more and more people in the West are turning away from God - 888.hu commented on the news .
