Violinist and composer Lajos Kathy-Horváth was a guest of the PestiSrácok program. The artist said that his life would be incomplete without God's love and support, and he believes that without God, creation is not necessarily pure.

Proud of her Gypsy and Hungarian heritage, Lajos Kathy-Horváth picked up the violin when she was very young, at the age of five, and her musician family, masters and artist friends - such as Béla Szakcsi Lakatos - supported her throughout her development as an artist. As a young musician, he spent 11 years on a scholarship in Paris, where, among other things, he worked as an assistant to Yehudi Menuhin Kathy-Horváth has always wanted to go home, to Hungary, because, as she says, as a representative of Gypsy music and culture, she feels completely at home here. The violinist's work and oeuvre have already been recognized with numerous awards in Hungary, but he is the only one after Kodály who was elected a regular member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts in 2014. The composer also pays a lot of attention to talent management, so among other things, as the director of the Roma Educational Cultural Center in the capital, he helps to support and embrace Roma youth.

Lajos Kathy-Horváth opened the April 18 Boomerlázád program with a beautiful improvisational violin solo, which was performed by an XVIII. he played with a 19th century French instrument.

Kathy-Horváth revealed that her art was influenced by living in Paris, but since she always considered Hungary her home, and because the political processes at home seemed to be settling down, she returned home with her family in the hope of regime change.

It is undeniable that gypsy music is an unavoidable part of Hungarian culture. And the Gypsy musicians give such a unique flavor to the musical world of our country that they are regarded with appreciation not only in Hungary, but all over the world. As the violinist also pointed out, Gypsy musicians have a kind of personality-presenting and realization ability, that is, they have such an individual characteristic that you can recognize them when they play music.

The majority of Gypsies are religious, as this keeps us together, they love each other and God together, the composer believes.

The artist is a Christian, a believer, a religious person who is proud of his Gypsy identity, and also thanks and glorifies God for helping him to fulfill himself in life. According to Lajos Kathy-Horváth, the outcome of the parliamentary elections was also a gift from God, an answer
