Europe still has time to act against Hungary, while the war is raging next door and even the coronavirus pandemic is not over, Ádám Kósa, an independent representative of the European Parliament (Fidesz-KDNP), pointed out on his social media page.
In this situation, European solidarity would be needed, rather than acting against Hungary and Poland, noted Ádám Kósa .
He highlighted: While our country, as a frontline country, already helped half a million Ukrainian refugees in an exemplary manner and continues to help them, the democratic elections in Hungary ended just a few days ago, the Hungarian GDP growth rate is at the forefront of the EU, Brussels would intensify a financial starvation procedure, i.e. political sanctions, against our country .
"I am not exaggerating when I say that the Brussels bureaucrats have once again attacked Hungary," he said.
He added: It seems that the European Union does not serve peace and solidarity, but continues to measure with double standards and is determined to maintain unjust political judgments.
The EU should also take note of the result of the democratic election recognized by the OSCE! - emphasized the independent representative of the European Parliament.
