The social initiative started in the United States in 1970 was declared an international day by the UN in 2009, so on April 22, programs are organized in most countries for more conscious environmental protection, mobilizing more than a billion people. The famous day has been organized in Hungary since 1990.
Environmentalists also draw attention to the fact that climate change, changes in nature caused by humans, factors that destroy biodiversity (deforestation, changes in land use, growing illegal trade in wild animals) contribute to the transmission of infectious diseases from animals to animals or to humans. .
On the occasion of Earth Day, a photo exhibition presenting the natural treasures of the V4 countries was organized in the Várkert Bazaar. The rich natural treasures of Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic will be presented until June 12 on the ramps leading to the Gloriette of the Castle Garden Bazaar.
At the request of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, renowned nature photographers from the V4 countries undertook to present the natural values of the region to the public. The ministry asked the Association of Hungarian Nature Photographers, naturArt, to implement the project. The largest nature photography associations of the Visegrád countries participated in the selection of the photos.
