The guesthouses of the Martos Rendezvényliget and Folk College were handed over on Friday afternoon. The two fifty-square-meter, furnished guesthouses, which can accommodate twenty people, were built with the support of the State Secretariat for National Policy and, in part, the Lakitelek People's College, which is owned by the Marthos Civic Association.
László Gubík, founding director of the Esterházy Academy and president of the Association for Common Goals, gave a speech at the event.
László Gubík also thanked the Lakitelek People's University, "without whose support we would not have been able to fully fulfill our commitment. It fills us with pride, but at the same time it also imposes a responsibility on us
Sándor Lezsák is laying down one of the upland pillars of the Carpathian Basin folk college network that is being built right here.
If we look around, we can see that we are still very much at the beginning. We are looking pretty, but there is a lot of work to be done to call the place where we are a real event park. However, each construction, whether it is the result of mental or physical construction, gives new impetus to the future. That's how it will be now!" he said.
Married,
the Martosi Rendezvényliget can become such a refuge for the patriotic and conservative thought of the Highlands.
If we look at the fact that since the establishment of the Esterházy Academy in 2017, under the patronage of Péter Szilágyi, our Esterházy students have included - without any pretense of completeness - journalists from Felvidék.ma and ma7, Reformed ministers and the ministers of Jóisten majdani, Mária Rádió editor, MKP local government representatives, student government presidents, Csemadok youth leaders, the Trianon Museum or the XXI. The academic staff of the Század Institute, the managing directors of the writers' society, the curators of the creative artists' society, or the young people performing the media duties of the Jókai Theater, then maybe we are not on such a bad path. And then I didn't even talk about the authors of independent literary or local history volumes, the organizers of public opinion polls, the organizers of local campaigns or even - to say it very quietly - the volunteers of Hungarian electoral district campaigns and the participants of numerous international events from Washington to Sochi and from Copenhagen to Barcelona.
Yes,
the people of Esterházy learn from us that community life is primarily service, and even in these moments, there are those who lead a value exploration college in Transdanubia, and there are those in the Ung region who carry out a mission to help refugees along the border, - said the president.
At the end, László Gubík said: "On behalf of the team, I would like to thank all our supporters for their trust, especially the State Secretariat for National Policy, all our helpers for their two hands, two legs, sometimes requiring a lot of brain power, but giving support in return, I also thank the bad guys, because they encourage us to prove ourselves, and of course the most important thing - I trust in the heavens so that we can continue to build the Martos dream!"
