Since Friday, 3,325 new infected people have been confirmed, bringing the total number of identified infected people to 1,894,278 since the beginning of the epidemic. The majority of the 53 who died in the last three days were elderly and chronically ill, so the number of those who died rose to 46,101.
The number of people who have recovered is constantly increasing, currently 1,788,191 people, and the number of active infected people has decreased to 59,986 people. 1,460 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospital, 40 of them are on ventilators.
2022plus: The data look reassuring, although even one death is one more than it should be. We could also be happy that the number of new infections per day is just over 1,100, but the only thing that would be reassuring would be if no one was infected at all. Therefore, caution is still recommended (wearing a mask is not mandatory, but not prohibited) and vaccination. We are not anti-vaccination, because we believe the experts (in contrast to those politicians and angry private individuals who dare to deny the claims of doctors and virologists even without expertise or real knowledge), so we can only advise: if you haven't done it yet, apply first, or just for the second or perhaps the third booster vaccination. On Fridays, they can also do this without registration at hospital vaccination points.
