Gergely Gulyás presented the government's latest decisions on Thursday's Government Information. He announced that there will be a 3.9 percent pension increase from the beginning of July.
Gulyás said that, according to the government, compensation is needed as soon as possible in the field of pensions, according to the current forecast, inflation could be up to 8.9 percent in 2022, so it is justified to increase pensions as soon as possible. There will be a 3.9 percent pension increase from the beginning of June, which will also apply retroactively, the increase for the previous six months will be paid in one sum.
The minister will report on the decisions made at the government meeting on Wednesday, and the price cap extension announced by Viktor Orbán will certainly be discussed.
In response to Gulyás' question, he said that it should be made clear that there are organizations whose main goal is to discredit the country. We have been governing like this for years, he added. Both the US President and the NATO Secretary General have made it clear that they do not want a conflict with Russia, a direct military conflict must be avoided.
