For thirty years, the Matej Hrebenda Library in Rimaszombat has been organizing the writer's tour for the schoolchildren of the district based on Pavol Emanuel Dobšinský's tale of Zlatá krajina – Golden Country. On the occasion of the jubilee, they thanked the previous organizers and published a yearbook.

From 2018, the library opened the possibility to students of Hungarian schools as well. The organizers believe that a child who reads and writes today is a special gift.

The works received are published year by year in a collection of texts. The entries are evaluated by a jury.

In recent years, between 2018 and 2021, drama teacher Katalin Zsélyi, an employee of the Municipal Cultural Center, commented on the works. Katalin Zsélyi explained that writing, like all artistic activities, helps children develop self-awareness. By putting their thoughts on paper, they also take care of their mother tongue. Everything can be learned, including writing, and once someone feels its beauty, don't stop.

In 2022, István Veres, a teacher of Hungarian history from Bratislava, writer, journalist, and staff member of Vasárnap, was asked to evaluate the 62 Hungarian essays received (48 poems, 14 prose).

The writer asked the young buddies to read a lot of contemporary poems and listen to music, and to observe what ideas other people are working with. He advised them to write down the most interesting events of each day in five lines in order to get a routine in writing.

The children also shared that they mostly like to read about horses, planets, antiques, the ancient man, and the older ones about love and the mafia. István Csukás, Judit Berki, and Hungarian folk tales were mentioned as authors.

A total of 26 Hungarian student creators joined this year's Golden Country project from the Reformed School Center in Rimaszombat, the primary schools in Felid and Ajnácskő, Klaudia Vršánska Agócs informed the Felvidék.ma portal.

The event was realized with the financial support of the Art Fund.
