Our country is considered one of the safest places in the world by the US State Department. In its recommendation for American travelers, compared to most of Europe, Hungary is classified in a narrow group of completely safe countries.

The United States Department of State, like most foreign departments around the world, publishes regularly updated country lists and maps that indicate what it recommends to its own citizens before they plan to travel abroad.

The State Department in Washington sets up different categories: there is a narrow group of completely safe countries where Americans can travel without any special precautions. There are countries where travelers are advised to be extra careful, and then there are states that recommend reconsidering your trip. Finally, there are also countries to which the US foreign ministry is so strict that no one should travel there.

Mandiner draws attention to the fact that the list of European countries is developing very interestingly in the shadow of war and covid: from the point of view of the American government, only a few European countries are rated as safe for Americans to travel there. These include Hungary, as well as Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Greece from our region.

In addition, Switzerland, Portugal, Ireland and the Northern European countries are also in this category. On the other hand, in most parts of Western Europe, heightened caution is already recommended, according to Washington.

It is interesting that there are hardly any countries in the whole world to which, according to Washington, American citizens can travel without problems - Canada, Australia, Argentina or even Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan are on this short list.

Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Moldova, and most of the Middle East are no-go zones for ordinary Americans.
