The music journalist of Telex, Dávid Sajó, conducted an interview with the new mentor of the Hungarian X-Factor, Erika Herceg, who is from Transcarpathia and started her career as a pop singer in Ukraine.
The article states that Herceg came from Kisdobrony, a small Transcarpathian village of 2,000 people, attended college in Beregszasz, and then moved with his then-boyfriend to Kiev without speaking any other language than his native Hungarian.
In the later part of the article, however, Dávid Sajó is especially amazed that the Transcarpathian Hungarian singer knows Hungarian well.
"In the first minutes of our conversation, I was also surprised by how perfectly Herceg speaks Hungarian, he hardly has an accent, it can only be seen from a few shifted accents and inflections that he is beyond the limit."
We do not add any further comments to our news, we wish the author of the Telex more exotic experiences and historical knowledge of the Carpathian Basin!
