Ukrainian, Russian and Belarusian agricultural products and fertilizers must be brought back to the world market, regardless of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, UN Secretary-General António Guterres said on Thursday at the UN Security Council (SC), which met in connection with the war started by Russia.
Guterres believed that global production security was at risk, and a serious solution to this situation required the return of Ukrainian agricultural products, as well as Russian and Belarusian goods and fertilizers to the world market.
According to him, this must be achieved despite the military actions.
At the same time, Guterres expressed his hope that further negotiations with Kiev and Moscow will lead to new humanitarian cease-fires, giving civilians the opportunity to flee and for humanitarian aid to reach those in need.
