"Love one another as I have loved you!" - with this motto, the XVI. Ars Sacra Festival between September 17 and 25, with a free program offering high-quality, genre-diverse art works and productions connected to historic churches. With this year's motto of the festival, everyone is invited to walk the path of love together.
Some people are easy to love. The one who accepts and understands us, expresses his tender feelings with his kindness, the one who worries and cares for us, the one with whom we are "kindred spirits". These experiences are a huge resource in our lives. But love often calls for self-transcendence. For the letting go, when we have to leave our own ideas and prejudices behind so that the other person can come to us and learn new things from them. We can make ourselves free for the other person.
Engaging in artistic experiences is similar to this idea. In the world of music, literature, and visual arts, we can discover new dimensions, not only in ourselves, but also in the other and the transcendent.
The goal of the organizers is that through the programs of the Ars Sacra Festival, the people of today will meet European culture based on traditional Judeo-Christian foundations and discover its many-faceted richness with the help of art.
Joiners from here and beyond the border are welcome, who join the series of events with art programs within the framework of the festival.
