Jakabos crossed the finish line with 2:11.26 minutes and was 1.4 seconds ahead of the second-placed French Juliette Marchand, according to the results of the competition.
His clubmate, Sebasztián Szabó, will start on Sunday in the 50-meter butterfly in a field full of world stars.
