Jichák Herzog wrote in his letter in English: Hungary is a reliable ally of Israel in international forums, and one of the largest Jewish communities in Europe lives there. Israel appreciates and values its relationship with Hungary, he added. The Israeli head of state - who in his letter calls himself committed to deepening the relationship between the two countries - invited Katalin Novák to Israel for an official visit.

In his post, the Hungarian head of state thanked the Israeli president for his good wishes and emphasized that "Israel can count on Hungary's support in the future, just like the Jewish community living in peace and security in our country."
