Liberals live so alienated from reality that they mistake categories for nuances.
When they build the punishment mechanisms of their hegemony machine on hate speech, they simply make hate a legal category, which it is not.
Vandalism, poaching, and even the age of majority are legal categories. But hate is not. Human hatred is a moral category that is not regulated in healthy societies, but in sick and paranoid societies it is used to expand the concept and keep political groups in check.
Where a complaint is made based on spiritual motives, Orwell can only write sociography, it is dismissed as fiction. Liberals do this all over Europe. They call a political position (for example, opposition to illegal border crossing) hate, then criminalize it.
They say "hate is not an opinion" so they can ban opinions they don't like. They say "tough on hate crimes", but what they really mean is the criminalization and suppression of non-liberal opinions.
We must state that hatred is a human problem, and something must be done about it. But hate is not a legal category.
