Organized by the Szent István Társulat, the Szent István Book Week is being organized for the twenty-ninth time this year, the most prestigious domestic gathering of Christian book publishers.

The festive opening of the event will take place on May 16, at 11 a.m. in the hall of Pázmány Péter Catholic University (Budapest, District VIII, Szentkirályi utca 28).
The book week will be opened by Cardinal Péter Erdő, Primate, Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest, patron of the Szent István Society. At the event, according to tradition, the novelties of the book week will be presented, and then Gábor Sarbak, president of the Szent István Society, and Székesfehérvár County Bishop Antal Spányi, CEO of the Hungarian Catholic Radio, and president of the Stephanus Foundation will present the Stephanus Awards: in the theological category to Bishop József Hal'ko , and in the literary category to Professor Kornél Szovák.

On Ferenciek Square in Pest, 27 book publishers await visitors from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day during the event. The exhibitors represent many regions of our country: in addition to Budapest, there is also a book publisher from Szeged, Pannonhalma, Kecskemét and Magyarszék.
