After Miklós Hajnal, who became famous for his diploma scandal, Deputy Mayor Gábor Kerpel-Fronius, who wrote the idea of selling the Budapest City Hall, also announced that he is running for the position of president of Momentum.

Two politicians also entered the ring for the title of president of Momentum, for which Anna Donáth, the current president of the party, is not running because she is in a blessed state and is expecting a child. Miklós Hajnal, famous for his diploma scandal, was the first to announce that he will run for the summer reform.

Known: the politician who won a mandate in Budapest's individual constituency No. 3 in the parliamentary elections in April claimed for a long time that he obtained a degree in economics from Oxford University. Over time, however, it turned out that this was not true, as he had completed only the first year of his bachelor's degree. When Mária Hajdu, the LMP candidate of the opposition coalition, said this before the elections, noting that the socialist Ildikó Bangóné Borbély had fallen for a similar lie, the LMP Hajdun kicked the dust and suspended her party membership.

The political career of Mayor Gergely Karácsony also started from the LMP, who held the position of strategic and public policy manager as a member of the party's national committee between 2011 and 2012. The excellent relationship between Karácsony and Hajnal is indicated by the fact that the mayor delegated the current politician to be a member of the supervisory board of BKK, which manages Budapest's transport, despite the fact that he does not have a degree.

For all this, according to press reports, he receives HUF 600,000 per month, despite the fact that shortly after Gergely Karácsony was elected, he said:

"These companies are not prey. Professional preparation is the only thing that matters. There is also a trust factor, these two together can result in someone becoming a company manager in Budapest".

Gábor Kerpel-Fronius also announced that he will run for the presidency during the renewal. The name of Budapest's deputy mayor was in the media in connection with the Anonymus scandal, after the masked figure proved with a hidden tape recording that the city's leaders were indeed considering the sale of the City Hall. Moreover, this idea was put forward by none other than Gábor Kerpel-Fronius.
