As is known from the news, the adviser of the Ukrainian energy minister threatened Hungary that something could happen to the Barátság oil pipeline at any time. State Secretary Tamás Menczer announced in a video posted on his social media page that he had a meeting with Ljubov Nepop, Ukraine's ambassador to Budapest, to whom he told that Hungary helps everyone in trouble, but the statements attacking Hungarian energy security are shocking and unacceptable.
The Secretary of State responsible for the development of bilateral relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade added that he told the ambassador that he was shocked to read the statement of the advisor to the Ukrainian energy minister on Thursday, who said that it would be good if something happened to the pipeline that transports oil through Ukraine to Hungary.
The position of the Hungarian government is clear, the country's energy supply is secured, Hungarian families and utility reduction have been and will be protected. We will not allow the Hungarian people to pay the price of the war, emphasized the state secretary.
The Secretary of State also said that Hungary is carrying out the largest humanitarian operation in its history, so far 720,000 refugees have arrived in Hungary, everyone is provided with accommodation and food, they also help children to go to school and parents to find work.
The amount of aid supplies delivered to Ukraine is close to two thousand tons, he added.
