While after the Rio Games, the Olympic sports could delegate 120 members, and the other organizations a maximum of 76 members, in June 2020 this number was reduced to 123. Then came another change, which also reduced the representation of the Olympic sports, but simply took away the right of representation from the other delegating organizations, they remind.
Blikk writes about this, the representatives could also vote on the report of the Winter Olympic performance. But a very important issue was also discussed, the issue of the Hungarian Olympics, they add. In 2024, the five-hoop tournament will be held in Paris, so we have to wait two cycles for the next European Olympics to be held. In 2028, Los Angeles will host the world's athletes. In 2032, it will certainly be Asia, but it could easily be Africa.
The Olympics will return to Europe in 2036, and Hungary will bid for it.
As the elected president of the MOB, Zsolt Gyulay, put it: "Hungary has a moral obligation to submit its application for this."
Lőrinc Nacsa , a KDNP member of parliament, wrote this on his Facebook page:
"The MOB has decided: Hungary will bid for the 2036 Olympics."
