Due to the protracted war, the government declared a state of war with effect from May 25, this special legal order helps the government to respond to the security, humanitarian and economic consequences caused by the war, such as national defense and overhead protection measures, with quick and decisive decision-making and legislation. .
The aim of the government is to preserve the peace and security of Hungary and to protect the Hungarian economy and population from the harmful effects of the economic, inflationary and energy crisis caused by the war. Special government decrees related to the state of emergency provide for government decisions and extraordinary measures that serve this purpose.
As is well known, the government creates the overhead protection fund, which protects families from the costs of ever-increasing energy prices, so that the extra profits of banks and large multi-companies must be paid into this through rising interest rates and rising prices. Furthermore, the national defense fund is created, which serves the costs of strengthening the national defense. As the government has already promised, it will protect families, pensioners, jobs and utility cuts in the protracted war situation.
The government is now making a proposal to the Parliament to extend the scope of its decrees created in the special legal order, thus ensuring the legal force and authorization of the measures. By adopting the proposal, the Parliament authorizes the government to take further measures and records that the Parliament created until the entry into force of the bill, containing extraordinary measures confirms government decrees,
thereby the Parliament politically recognizes the steps taken by the Government to avert the consequences of the war and the humanitarian disaster in Hungary.
