The Hungarian speaker, László Kövér, spoke on Hír TV on Saturday about what the Ukrainian president is doing, the world watches with amazement and incomprehension. He added: he does not remember that the leader of a country in need of help would have dared to raise such a tone towards anyone as Volodymyr Zelenskiy raised - not only towards Hungary.
There is a personal, psychological problem here, which I, for my part, have nothing to do with, he said. Speaking about the fate of the Transcarpathian Hungarians, he believed that there is reason to worry, that the war and its consequences could turn their hitherto not easy situation upside down. He also pointed out that a lot of weapons were uncontrolled in the hands of civilians.
The democratic world does not look at the statements of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy with amazement and incomprehension, but Hungary, which continues to smear Ukraine and shine Russia - Ruszlan Stefanchuk, the speaker of the Ukrainian parliament, reacted to the words of László Kövér. According to him, such statements are cynical, irresponsible, shameful and play into the hands of the Russian aggressor. The spokesperson of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry also reacted sharply to László Kövér's statements. As he stated, Hungarian politicians continue to wash Russia, which he says is not surprising, because throughout history, Hungary has repeatedly turned to the bad guys.
Hungary deliberately exchanges the souls of deceased Ukrainian children for oil and gingerbread. It's a shame - Mandiner quoted Mihajlo Podoljak, adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, as criticizing László Kövér According to the consultant, "the only problematic country in the European family is Hungary, which prevents any reaction to Russia's atrocities in Ukraine." With this, he indicated that Hungary prevented the introduction of a full-scale EU embargo against Russian crude oil imports with its veto.
Péter Szijjártó commented on what happened on his social media page:
"While tens of thousands of people have been working in Hungary in recent months to provide aid to war-torn Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, Ukrainian politicians are constantly speaking about Hungary in an unacceptable tone, provoking us, telling lies and trying to blackmail us.
They never once said thank you.
Based on all of this, László Kövér is absolutely right, even if the Ukrainians are outraged by this."
2022plus : A foreign minister cannot use the obvious term to describe the situation, but the fact is that the Ukrainian leaders are simply cheeky. For many years, they have persecuted the minorities living in their territory, including the Hungarians. They took away acquired rights and idly watched (thus indirectly supported) real fascist Ukrainian movements, death threats, and assassinations against, among other things, Hungarian organizations. After that, it is really absurd to demand that they get "good for a bad deed". Still, they receive shelter for their refugees, humanitarian aid, aid supplies in the territory of Ukraine.
What did they demand and demand from us? (Szijjártó and Kövér are right, to ask is a derogation for them.) That we supply them with weapons - i.e. actively enter their war. They would feel good if the bombs fell on us too, so much less on them. Hungarians don't count because they are not Ukrainians. Let's close the oil and gas taps, which would collapse the Hungarian economy within a few days. But that would be good, and then they would be very sorry that you ended it for us. They, on the other hand, would rub their fists gleefully: not only the neighbor's cow, but also the neighbor's died, One less problem.
We condemn the war, the Russian aggression, we support and help the refugees, but we have no suicidal tendencies. Even the "artist" playing the piano with his "third hand" should be able to understand this simple fact.
