The former head of government shared with the public the speech of the local government representatives of the Democratic Coalition at the national meeting on Saturday. According to the deputy research director of the Center for Fundamental Rights, the speech had two important but unspoken messages:
the first is that, as the strongest left-wing party, the DK will blow the trade winds in the future. The second is that the former prime minister is preparing for an even more radical anti-government strategy that tests the framework of constitutionality, as at one point in his speech he announced resistance and fantasized about radical program elements.
One thing is for sure, the goal is still to have a single dominant player in the government-critical field, the Democratic Coalition, asserted Erik Tóth.
According to the analyst, Ferenc Gyurcsány stated the main pillars of the opposition policy led by the DK in recent years, part of which is the strengthening of total opposition to the government. DK has been following a simple recipe since its foundation in 2011:

In relation to the fact that the president of the Democratic Party of Denmark declared that he wanted a change of regime, Erik Tóth said: this is how the party leader wants to lay the foundation for those opposition plans, which are unacceptable in both legal and political terms, and which went against the functioning of democracy and the rule of law even before the 2022 parliamentary elections. with its principles. - Constitutionalization with a simple majority is still part of the left-liberal program, as it was specifically supported by Klára Dobrev as prime minister candidate, and regime change as a political message is embedded in these illegal acts - explained the deputy director of research.
There is a lot of chaos in the opposition field, this is shown, among other things, by the fact that Gergely Karácsony, who considers himself a political big game, recently said that "it is not certain that the voters made the wrong decision when this opposition was not given the authority to govern" - quoted the mayor Erik Tóth's words. According to the analyst, in a certain sense it is amusing that, according to Gyurcsány, the voters made the wrong decision: the opposition coalition fell apart on the eve of the election, and since then they have not been able to demonstrate the ability to govern as much as before. The DK lost to Momentum in the capital, but due to the struggle for dominance, important matters in the capital were put on hold, and the helpless mayor got another deputy from the DK.
