International trends are completely different from what took place in Hungary in the field of public law and public administration, said Mr. Zoltán Lomnici, Századvég's legal expert at Faktum.
In connection with the proposal for the return of the terms chieftain and county, he explained that there are French, Swiss, American, and Austrian examples of continuity and respect for tradition. Regarding the left-wing criticisms of the proposal, he said that some of them are intellectual criticism, while others are "plain bullshit".
According to Lomnici, the culture of cancellation, the cancel culture, has been present in Hungary ever since the SZDSZ got its hands on education, "creating a distorted, dark sense of history".
The constitutional lawyer also spoke about the efforts that the European Parliament wants to acquire even more rights, at the expense of national competences.
