Mandiner reported on the Capital Assembly, where the representatives also discussed the new parking system.
As you can read, a heated debate preceded the proposal on the creation of a unified parking system, which received several amendments even at the last moment. Thus, that of the governing parties, according to which "the II. which has been functioning well since 2010 and VI. similar to district practice, you should pay for parking in Budapest from 8:30 a.m. instead of 8:00 a.m. In this way, parents can safely accompany their children to school and kindergarten". All of this would be introduced uniformly by the Wintermantels, but the modifiers of some district leaders took a stand in the direction of individual regulation.
In the end, the left-wing majority of the General Assembly did not support the proposal of Fidesz-KDNP, but they did support the creation of the new parking zones A, B, C, D and the uniform and increasingly expensive tariff system.
In the inner districts, parking has gone up by 15-90 percent, and in the outer districts by 15-100 percent, and in many places, the end of the paid period is postponed until late at night. There are four tariffs for the four waiting zones: HUF 600, 450, 300 and 200 per hour. In addition, the waiting period will also change uniformly. Until now, there were as many districts as there were so many types of regulations, it also happened that you could only park in a parking space for 3 hours, but also that someone could park in the parking lot from morning to night if they paid. From now on, with the exception of zone D, you can only wait a maximum of three hours in the paid parking space.
