According to Mandiner's report, the commander of the Hungarian Armed Forces paid an official visit to Ukraine in the past few days. Lieutenant-General Romulus Ruszin-Szendi visited the war-torn country at the head of a small delegation, where he met Valery Zaluzhnyiyi, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army.
"I highly value the professional and friendly relationship that I have with my Hungarian colleague, and I am satisfied with the military cooperation between our states," said the Ukrainian commander-in-chief, adding that the visit testified to the huge support and solidarity of the Hungarian side. He also spoke about the meeting as a sign that Hungary supports Ukraine in the war against Russia.
The Facebook page of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on the visit of the commander of the Hungarian Armed Forces to Ukraine late on Thursday evening, the post was deleted by the Kard Blog Facebook page.
The Hungarian delegation visited the iconic sites of the Russian destruction, including Gostomel, Irpin and Borodyan, but according to the report, the Hungarians also visited Mykolaiv, Odessa, Dnipro and Kharkiv, where they received information about the situation on the front.
The Ministry of Defense also issued a statement on the visit on Friday morning. In it, it was explained that the Hungarian delegation visited Ukraine at the invitation of Lieutenant General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Ukrainian Chief of Staff. Information from the Hungarian side revealed that at the meeting, the Hungarian command gave a comprehensive picture of the military development taking place in our country, the processes related to it, and the current tasks and challenges affecting the Hungarian Defense Forces, as well as information about the Russian-Ukrainian war, which affects the Hungarian Defense Forces also about tasks.
