Several generator operators of the ice damage mitigation system have received death threats, so the National Chamber of Agrarian Economy will stop the service in the affected districts, NAK announced.

According to the announcement, the misconception that the national ice damage mitigation system can be held responsible for the severe drought in Eastern Hungary is spreading more and more widely.

NAK has indicated that it will file a complaint against those making threats.

They emphasized: it has been scientifically proven that the ice damage mitigation system has no effect on the amount of precipitation, it can only influence the size of the formed ice particles. It was noted that extremely little precipitation fell in January and February this year, even though the ice damage mitigation system only operates from April 15.

The current extreme drought is due to global weather conditions; the extraordinary lack of precipitation causes problems not only in our country, but also in many other European countries - where ice damage mitigation does not work - the NAK drew attention to.

According to NAK's calculations, tens of billions of HUF damage can be prevented with the ice damage mitigation system.

In the last year, when the national coverage system was not yet operational, i.e. in 2017, farmers reported 72,000 hectares of agricultural ice damage. In contrast, in 2021, 39,000 hectares were reported to be affected, the chamber explained in its statement.

Dear reader! Do you think there is a limit to human stupidity? Although the announcement gentlemanly calls the nonsense that the ice damage mitigation system can be held responsible for the severe drought a "misconception". However, this cannot be called a misconception. This is stupidity, the bottom of the kingdom of darkness. I would be curious, after the NAK files a report, will that broad group bravely stand up and accept this nonsense. I suspect that there is not a single brave among them, and in fact they will be the first to claim compensation and support for drought damage and other agricultural damage. However, such people should not be given support for ice damage, drought, or internal water damage - and so on. But not even the heat stroke!
