In the midst of crises, the goal is to continue nation-building work, protect families, workplaces, support settlements and keep the economy on a growth path - declared Mihály Varga at the City Day award ceremony in Tiszafüred.
The Minister of Finance emphasized that in the current very difficult situation, the government is working to prevent the effects of the war, to protect people's safety and the achieved results.
The head of the ministry explained: next year we will continue to support families, the creation of jobs, tax reductions, the implementation of investments, and the development of settlements. Accordingly, we developed the budget for next year. In this, the government is taking into account the effects of the Brussels sanctions, the consequences of the energy crisis caused by the war, wartime inflation and the economic crisis unfolding in Europe, Mihály Varga pointed out.
The minister also said that the tax and contribution benefits for families will continue next year. The Home Creation Program will also continue, the 13th monthly pension will remain, the pension premium and the rate of inflation will continue to increase in the following year.
In addition to all of this, the funds available for the operation and development of healthcare and education will also increase, and the programs supporting local government investments will continue in 2023: the Modern Cities Program and the Hungarian Village Program - explained the head of the ministry.
