The Board of Directors of the Integrity Authority held its inaugural meeting on November 18, 2022, and the authority began its operation and professional work by meeting the strict legal deadlines. The reports received so far are being processed, the Integrity Authority said in a statement.

In addition to the performance of the basic tasks derivable from the law, the Board of Directors designated organizational development as the next priority. As a newly established Authority, it is necessary to recruit staff who can perform their work impeccably at the highest professional level as soon as possible.

Basically, the authority will examine the public procurement procedures of projects realized with EU funds, and may intervene if it detects any irregularities that lead to improper use of EU funds.

IN ACCORDANCE WITH ITS LEGAL DUTIES, THE INTEGRITY AUTHORITY WILL ESTABLISH AN ANTI-CORRUPTION WORKING GROUP BY DECEMBER 1, 2022, WHICH WILL HOLD ITS FIRST MEETING BY DECEMBER 15 AT THE LATEREST.

The members of the Working Group representing non-governmental actors are selected by the authority in the framework of an open tender. The call for tenders was prepared by the authority and published on November 11, 2022. The application deadline is November 24, 2022, 11:59 p.m.
