Peace is the only solution to war, said Tamás Menczer in Croatia at the 15th International Security Policy Forum in Dubrovnik, where he participated in a panel discussion with Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok and Croatian Minister of Culture and Media Nina Obuljen-Korzinek.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the state secretary spoke about how the war in Hungary's neighborhood poses a security, economic and energy challenge.
In the era of dangers, we must also fight against illegal immigration in addition to war, said Tamás Menczer, then added that a week ago, groups of immigrants on the Serbian side of the Hungarian border fence attacked each other with sharp weapons and killed several people. These groups of immigrants engage in human trafficking and fight for routes and territories, the State Secretary reminded.
The ongoing war in Ukraine may cause food supply problems in Europe's neighborhood, and this crisis may trigger new waves of migration. The only solution to challenges and dangers is peace, so we need peace, said Tamás Menczer.
