Justice Minister Judit Varga called her meeting in Prague with EU Commissioner Didier Reyners constructive. The heads of ministries are holding an informal meeting in the Czech capital.

On Monday, Justice Minister Judit Varga met with Didier Reynders, the EU commissioner responsible for justice, in Prague, where she is participating in an informal meeting of the heads of ministries responsible for justice.

On her community page , Judit Varga stated that she had a "constructive European dialogue" with the Belgian liberal official, whom she informed about the Hungarian position. He called it a step forward that the Hungarian government accepted the recommendations of the European Commission in four priority areas. "We stick to the direct and exacting professional exchange of ideas. We are ready for further negotiation and agreement," he wrote.

Gergely Gulyás, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office, reported on the progress of negotiations on the recovery fund at last week's government briefing.

The government accepted the Brussels recommendations in four important areas:

  • even in national public procurements, the proportion of single-bid public procurements will be below 15 percent,
  • the court can decide on further steps in corruption cases if the prosecution closes it,
  • For Hungary, part of the EU funds must be used to achieve energy independence,
  • EU funds received as loans must be used to achieve energy independence.
