A left-wing party in Germany would give free crystal meth to drug addicts to "reduce pressure" to prosecute drug dealers. (ed. After all, it is really excellent for the symptomatic treatment of the energy and economic crisis!)

The Left Party has tabled a motion in parliament that says drug users should be "consistently protected from prosecution" and provided with substances at taxpayers' expense.

As Germany's Junge Freiheit news agency reported, hard drugs such as methamphetamine would be distributed to addicts with close "therapeutic support" to stop prosecutions.

Ecstasy and other hard drugs such as morphine, cocaine, LSD and even heroin would not be prosecuted if users were found to have purchased or possessed small amounts.” Remix News writes.

Decriminalizing hard drugs would follow in the footsteps of policies already in place that have led to states no longer prosecuting those found in possession of small amounts of marijuana.

Amphetamine abuse is already a serious problem in Germany, with crystal meth-related crimes increasing by 18.9 percent in 2020, a number that has likely worsened significantly since the COVID-19 lockdowns.

In 2015, leftists in Germany started a nationwide debate on the legalization of crystal meth.

So far, the liberal policy of handing out free drugs and needles to drug addicts while denying prosecution of hard drug possessions has led to a nightmare in major US cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles.

In San Francisco, where millions of free needles are given out to drug addicts every year, the streets are full of zombie-like meth users and heroin addicts.
